National Law Student Convention

25th Annual National Law Student Convention at the
2012 Christian Legal Society National Conference
 

October 18-21, 2012

The National Law Student Convention provides law students and pre-law students from around the country the opportunity to meet others seeking to discern their callings and become faithful Christ followers in the legal profession. This year’s Law Student Convention features a mentoring luncheon, breakout sessions with practicing lawyers and scholars, a sharing time, and an introduction to the national ministry of CLS. And, as always, the evenings will be full of student-designed events like the annual Student Ministries After-Hours and Praise & Worship.  

The breakout sessions will include the following topics:

    • Career Options Panel: Integrating Faith & Practice
    • Go + Do: Daring to Change the World One Story at a Time
    • Women in the Law Panel
    • Vanderbilt University Stories: Advice & Trials in Engaging the University for Christ
    • Integrating Faith and Law  

Conference Schedule
Thursday, October 18
10:30 pm:  Law Student Ministries After Hours Fellowship
Join us in the Law Student Ministries Suite for fellowship and snacks following the general welcome reception.

Friday, October 19
10:30–11:30 pm:  Law Student Praise & Worship
11:30 pm:  Law Student Ministries After-Hours Fellowship
 
Saturday, October 20
10:00–4:30 pm: National Law Student Convention
10:00–11:30 pm: Law Student Opening Session
11:45–12:50 pm: Law Student Community Building & Mentorship Luncheon
1:00–4:30 pm: Breakout Sessions
4:30-4:45 pm: Closing Remarks
11:00 pm: Law Student Ministries After-Hours Fellowship
 
We have reserved rooms at a special rate for law students at the nearby Best Western ($45-$49 per night per room - up to 4 people per room!)
 
Registration fees reflect the CLS Law Student Scholarship and include most meals and all conference sessions:
    • $150 before July 31
    • $250 August 1 to September 15
    • $350 after September 15
Please make every effort to raise the necessary funds and prepare your budgets as soon as you can so you can participate in this amazing time of fellowship!  We have created a checklist to guide you in your conference planning.
