No Local Dues – Join National CLS
Our local Chapter does not collect local dues but, instead, encourages you to join the national CLS organization, which has a dues-sharing program with its local chapters. Information on joining CLS can be found on the Home page. If you haven't already, please prayerfully consider joining CLS today!
Why join CLS?
From Chapter President:
There are many benefits to joining the Christian Legal Society, and I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage you to do so.
As many of us have experienced and grown from over the years (both in law school and in practice), the foundation of CLS is getting Christian lawyers together to pray and to fellowship and to encourage each other.
Additionally, through membership in CLS, you become a vital part of a ministry that reaches out to thousands of lawyers and law students across the country, engaging in important religious liberty advocacy, promoting biblical conflict resolution, and ministering legal aid to the poor in over 60 clinics nationwide (including locally here in Pittsburgh). Through association together, we can accomplish what we cannot do individually.
Become a member of CLS and put your voice towards a ministry to which God only calls Christian lawyers!
We do not collect local dues for membership in the WPA Chapter of CLS. Instead, through membership in the national CLS organization, we participate in a dues-sharing program.
Please consider signing up now for CLS membership. Just click on the membership application on the CLS website: www.clsnet.org.
By doing so, you become part of a national network of Christian lawyers. There are a lot of benefits to joining CLS, as one of our members attests to below.
Thanks!

Re: CLS Membership
Dear Delia,
I wanted you to be aware of a benefit of Christian Legal Society (CLS) membership that's not on any of the flyers or newsletters or other information about CLS.
Earlier this month, I knew I'd be in Austin, Texas, for a week with my wife & younger daughter. Because I am a CLS member, I could use the directory (it's computerized, but even a dinosaur like me could navigate it easily) & I called the head of Austin's CLS chapter & asked if they had any events during our week in Texas. He told me of a lunch that Friday & gave me the details. Joann & I were able to go, & they refused any attempts at payment for a fine hour of fellowship with brother & sister Christian lawyers. What a great opportunity to meet & break bread as the guests of our new brothers & sisters.
So, yes, I enjoy the newsletters, e-mail alerts, national conferences, business discounts, & other "perks" of CLS membership, but I sure would recommend joining CLS for the simple pleasure of being able to meet Christian lawyers I may not otherwise ever meet.
Delia, thanks for all you do here in the 'Burgh, & if you have any questions at all, please feel free to e-mail or call at any time.
Yours in Christ,
Rob
